After his studies at the Helsinki Faculty of Arts and a Master Degree in Cinema at the University of Bologna, he is awarded a Master in Filmmaking in Paris. Since 2013, he has been working at L’Immagine Ritrovata film restoration laboratory, part of the Cineteca di Bologna. As an author, his work focuses on the research and use of archival materials to create short film diaries that explore ideas of time and memory. Drawing on a visual anthropology approach and a documentary gaze, his work also addresses urban transformations and complex social issues.&nbsp;Go Burning Atacama Go (2012) won the experimental Lucca Film Festival award, whilst Sinai – another step on earth (2014) had its national premiere at the Torino Film Festival. His first feature-length documentary, Ogni Opera di Confessione (2015), premiered at Visions du Réel. In 2019, a selection of his video works was presented at the LiTE-HAUS gallery in Berlin. Il Labirinto, his second feature-length documentary, has been premiered at the Biografilm Festival in 2026. The void of a productive area, a big abandoned city-factory, a wreckage of the twentieth century just laying there, motionless at the end of a long journey. But people walk around the voids, swarm as the leftovers of a great story, like Japanese soldiers refusing to leave the trench despite evident defeat. Officine Meccaniche Reggiane never materialize in their whole, if not in a few frames. The entire film is actually an approaching strategy to the space, making light on a plurality of persons and individual communities living at the edges of&nbsp; the void. Religious communities (Pentecostal or Islamic) are the proves of the big change brought about by immigration for what concerns the transformation of districts surrounding Reggiane. A number of characters, viewpoints hinged on two silent tales that evolve during the film and are told through simple and everyday movements of the characters. So two lots of ten hours, of potential performance and cohabitation time, no interruptions, considered to be a unique endeavour in performance. An invitation addressed to performer, musician, filmmaker, photographer and artist friends. Twelve protagonists in total over two days. The only constraint is the choice of ten objects, whether or not related to their practical application (every-day objects, accessories, sound or video equipment, furniture, instruments...) with no coherence necessarily imposed upon the collection as a whole. Polaroids and typewritten texts (observations, literary impulses, commands…) contribute to a whole which gradually covers the walls, creating an initial level of removal, brought about by the protagonists themselves, from the actions and the time elapsed.
